Im started using lyrica now it was working now it stopped any suggestions?
If you've had trouble with Sodium regulation from Trileptal, then perhaps you might discuss Tegretol with your physicians. At one time, Tegretol was the drug of choice for Type I TN, and it is still widely used despite Trileptal often being better tolerated. Other options would include a drug cocktail of Tegretol and one of the following: Baclofen, Phenyoitin, Valium, or Flexeril.
Lyrica is sometimes used, but many TN patients report problems with side effects.

i am on lyrica, 4 months in now, not gone completely but certainly better than it was, doctor has, for some unfathomable reason, reduced my dose from 150mg to 75mg, bad side effects though, really makes my mood black most of the time, no motivation to do anything and worse than all no sex drive what so ever and if i did i dont think i could do anything about it, thanks to this medecine not everything is in working order. fine balancing act, not in constant debillitating pain but grumpy al the tme and has massive impact on my relationship with my wife. lose lose situation, stop taking it and cant do anything due to the pain, carry on takig it and dont want to do anything, at all!

I'm type 2 and on Lyrica too-feel like it works for a week or so then not so good after that. My doc keeps upping the dosage. I too feel tired, down, dull, and sex-who the hell cares about that! I am not the cheerful smiling person that I was....
Thank you for the reply ! I feel the same sometimes so im leaning towards getting surgery (gamma knife) but you know how that goes its a gamble too and I might even feel worse pain. There no easy choices!
