Lend me a book?

I want to read Striking Back! and the book by Zakrzewska before I see the surgeon, but cannot afford them. If someone has a copy they could send, I would be careful with your book and send it back. I read quickly. You should be in the U.S. because I can't afford to ship to another country. I would really prefer the newer updated version of Striking Back!

Hello Tortoise,

I don't want you to think we are all ignoring your request. I simply can't let go of my book at this time; I'm still in early stages (6 months in) and I refer to it all the time. However, it was published in 2000, so there have been some changes over the past 15 years.

I recommend that you read all the info posted here under Face Pain Info, click on all the links, and check PubMed for research articles directly related to your symptoms/diagnosis.

Also, most libraries will request a book through inter-library loan if they don't have one.

Best of luck to you,

Rissmal

Thanks.

I wasn't sure if the books would tell me more than online articles and forums. I will probably learn enough online, if I can't borrow a book.

My state doesn't have a good way to search many libraries. I tried the biggest library in the state.

By the way, the newer edition of Striking Back came out in late 2004.

The book is more geared towards classic TN patients, but it is definitely a great resource. You can find all the info online if you look in reputable sources. Also check your local university’s library.

Thanks. I need the most info on atypical, and I am bilateral too.

Contact. Me . I will send you a copy .

I am sorry you have to deal with this awful condition!
I don’t want to be the bad guy, but, I don’t think it is a good idea to give out your address in a forum on the Internet.
I hope you have a low/no pain day!
Oh! I just had a thought, contact Dr. Casey and explain your situation and he might send a copy.
Take care all.

Thank you Moxie!.You are absolutely right!

As a long time Buddhist and believer in karma I did not even

entertain that thought.Dr Wayne Dyer says "when you change the way you look at things ,the things you look at change."

Maybe I need to do this in reverse now...lol

I read Tortoise's post and I was overcome with a feeling of gratitude.

How lucky am I to be able to afford treatments that are not available to everyone? .I was humbled by this thought .

How could I be of service? It would be an honor and privilege to give someone a book .It may help them tremendously.

The offer stands.Message me privately if you like but safety first of course:)

Thank you Jay jay.

Yesterday I decided I won't have the time to read the books before my appointment :( I need to spend my time raising money, and I will squeeze in a little internet reading.

I really appreciate your offer, and maybe another member in need will see your post and ask.

Best of success with your appointment

Thanks!
