I was just diagnosed with this lovely disorder. Not dealing very well with that, but I'm get some relief from Tegretol and my chiropractor. A silly question--how does anyone with TN get a haircut?

I'm sorry you have just been diagnosed with TN. The people on this site are very helpful. I was terrified when I had to get my first haircut. I know the light, noise, people and touching of my face were all triggers. I made the appointment during the day in the middle of the week when almost no one was there. I explained to my hairdresser what I was going through and she was very gentle around my face. I did not get a shampoo and asked for no hairspray or other products to be used. Unfortunately, as soon as I left the pain began and was extreme. I think it was the fumes from hair color they were using on someone else. I thought I did everything I could. I guess it is harder than I thought.
