Bruising after the block (pic doesn’t do it justice at all)
Ummm...I think I'll pass. That looks like too much pain on top of the TN pain if it doesn't work.
Would you ever get another block?

Is your eye also black, or is that just lighting?

This was my first block. I was not medicated or sedated for it. The placement of the needle wasn’t too painful. As soon as they touched the nerve I wanted to leap off the table. Then they injected the meds and I wanted to die. (The entire procedure only took about 15 min and that was with my anatomy complicating it a bit. Apparently I have a very very small Foramen Ovale (one of the holes where the nerves leave the brain) - It’s hard to say if it was worth it or not. I got a lot of swelling and pain, bruising, and an infection in the site. After that I did get about 2 weeks of pain relief.
No black eye just bad lighting - I should also mention that my second block had almost no swelling or bruising but also offered no pain relief.
