It is getting me down...it started with the Tn1 and 2 pain...tears, vomiting,and all. Luckily an ER doc diagnosed within 2 hrs by giving me Neurontin and getting relief. Neurontin finally built up in my body and for a week...no pain...then a huge attack of herpes appeared on my left upper lip (side of TN) and fevers and aches accompanied for 6 days...now that is gone and I am having severe cervical disc pain in my degenerating disc. Can this all be a coincidence?!!! It is so difficult to get the busy doctors to look at the big picture. Is herpes causing all of this? Where will it go next?
It seems everytime I get one thing under control and try to go back to work and live my life...another thing begins. I have been looking into going to the Mayo Clinic in florida. Has anyone else tried this? Have they helped?

Hi I am also having what we call fever blisters in my mouth and I am told they are caused by the herpes virus. Sounds terrible doesn't it? I know that mine is because my diet has gone up the creek since I have had TN. I do not eat well at all. Now the fever blisters are so painful in my mouth that I cannot eat so I have put myself onto a meal replacement power that you mix in water or milk. My doctor has told me to take Vitamin B. So am starting tomorrow. I also get fevers, not the aches, but now my specialist wants to test me for ME. (perish the thought).Perhaps the disc problem is because you are so tense with the pain from the TN. Suggest you send your question directly to Dr Red Lahern.Hope that is right.
