I had Chiari surgery last September and have healed nicely. Even my hair is growing back quite well. LOL On January 23th I go back to my neurosurgeon for MVD consult. This was schuduled last September until on a pre MRI they found I had a Chiari. So, the surgery was cancelled and Chiari surgery was performed. Now once again I have one more surgery ahead of me. Feeling nervous and somewhat exhausted, but truly looking forward to having the pain end. Been having alot more bad days than good, but then suddenly will have a really good day. How unpredictable TN is, as we all know. It is hard to go to work every day with such pain, but as I am single, can't let pain keep me home. Only one paycheck makes a big differance. I do feel blessed that I can work after hearing all the stories from other TN patients. If I could leave just one message to my fellow sufferers, it is this, never ever give up. Please send prayers my way and I will do the same for you. God bless.
God Bless Irish, You have been through so much, and what a shock it must have been to find you had Chiari.
I would have hoped that having the surgery for the Chiari would have helped your TN, but obviously not. Did you continue to have TN attacks during the recovery period for the Chiari surgery? If so that must have been awful for you. My prayers are with you, may God look after you during the MVD in the same way he took care of you during the Chiari operation. Let us know when it happening Irish
