Has anyone with deep ear pain been told it may be from cervical stenosis?

I have very deep ear pain and jaw pain that for the most part is always there but I have times when the pain really ramps up and I have to go on tegratol to treat it. However, I also suffer from severe vertigo and all of this is head positional, you see since this has started 7 months ago I have not been able to lay my head flat nor have I been able to tilt my head back and up 9like to look at the sky) and if I use my right arm to raise anything above my head then my neck begins to hurt really bad and then that flares everything else up. My docs did an MRI/MRA and they found that my C4- C7 vertbras are crushed and the discs are all herniated and causing spinal stenosis and possible compression of the vertabral artery that runs through there. Supposedly when this happens it causes an impingement of the spinal cord and or artery which them causes this sympathetic nerve syndrome which radiates up to the ear canal and jaw and causes severe vertigo, which is what I have. It can be fixed by fixing the cervical spine. I am to meet with the neuro surgeon next month. Iam wondering if anyone else has these types of symptoms? Also wondering if you do have you been told this may be your problem? Now i can also get a flare up of pain from the wind or water getting into my ear so this makes me kind of worried that the docs may not be right, yet if I inflame or aggravate the neck I will definetely set the ear and jaw pain off, what do any of you think?

Thanks,

Jolie

I too have stenosis, spondylosis and disc bulge in C4-C7 and have wondered if it is linked to my vertigo and ATN/TN. No specialists that I have seen have linked the two, but mine, according to the MRI are mild. When I first had the TN start 5 months ago, I could not lay my upper body down because of the ear pressure. I am on Tegretol and it has taken most of it away. The ear pressure is coming back but it is tolerable. I find wind is my strongest trigger while on medication. I also have suffered from ice pick pain for 20 years. I would love to hear from you following your neuro surgeon visit.

i can realate to that.

my main and worse pain is in jaw/teeth...

but i've also had symptoms that when taking my left arm up - it increases the pain... taking my left leg up - increases the pain.

(sorry for my bad writing. i'm in grea pisn right now)

anyway - noticed that certain movements of the body increasse pain - but doctors always dismiss it.

also - my jaw/teeth pain is 10000 times worse that the arm pain - so i dont mind that VERY slight arm neck pain.. but it can be realted.

so much unkonwn in this area.. we all want to figure the CAUSE so to treat it.

it's really good you have SOME siagoniss.

also check up EAGLE's synfrome. it can realate to some of your simptomes.
