I had an MVD on the 19th December, I dont know where to write about it but I am so pleased I had it done, no more pain whatsoever and I have been lliving with the pain for 12 years as I was frightened of facial paralisis (not spelt correcly)
I was in hospital (South Africa) for 5 days, very little pain as the drugs were administered correctly, I was wobbly on my legs with dizziness for a few days and now have no more drugs whatsover. My only surprise was the length of the cut. Its about 10cm. However they only cut about a cm of my hair either side of the cut and you cant see the cut at all as my hair is shoulder length. They found a blood vessel and an artery touching the nerve, if I have this correctly.
My local GP searched for doctor who had done the most MVD's and I think this is the answer as well, he had done over 50 of them, enjoyed them and explained it all in great depth.
