My Doctor switched me to Garlise from Normal gabapentin I was taking 600mg 4 times a day or Gabapentin and he switched me to 600mg of Garlise 4 times a day the Pharmacist that that it is way to much garlise that it works differently than normal gabapentin and it is only to be taken once a day not 4 times a day I am so confused does anyone know anything about garlise My doctors office is alway screwing up my perscriptions the doctor told me to up my trileptal from 600mg to 900mg a day so what did the doctors office call in take 3 150mg of trileptal instead of take 3 300mg of trileptal I used to take the 150mg a long time ago the doctor office is alway messing up the prescription between the doctor and the nursed then to the Pharmacy
Hello, I don’t really know a lot about the garlise, but there is currently a research project at the University of Rochester, (New York) using garlise. It is a one a day kinda pill. The research is currently looking for volunteers so you could look there for info. Maybe a starting point. Good luck.
I tool Gralise and it is a time released version of Gabapentin. I took it once a day 2 tablets. My new insurance wont cover it now so I am back to Gabapentin.
I liked it because of convenience but they both give me the same results.
Garlise would be great for me as I have a hard time remembering to take my meds on time. I would love to request it but we are still playing with my dose of gabapentin.
I found out I was taking it wrong I misunderstood or he did not explain it very well I am to take my normal gabapentin 600mg 4 times a day and take only 1 600mg of gralise at bedtime so that it might hold me until the morning so I hope fully will not be in as much pain over night and in the morning
Has anyone taken gralise instead of gabapentin but at the once a day dose and does it work as well as the gabapentin
You said it worked just as well as the gabapentin I am so sick of taking meds every 6 hours

Yes, for me it did fine. I am back to Gabapentin though because the FDA doesn't recognize Gralise as a treatment for TN so Aetna wont pay for it. I was nervous going back to Gabapentin but so far all of okay switching back except I cant just take it once a day.
