Hi All, I'm having pretty bad pain in the upper lip area now. It's so sensitive I have to cover my face to shower. I talked to my nero and he was the one that told me about this Gamma Knife. Have any here tried it? Is it any good? Or will I just be throwing more money away? Help if you can and thanks.

I had GKR done on Dec. 30, 2014 at Tufts in Boston. So far, so good. The suicidal pain has not returned. Still feel some burning and pulling in the back of my mouth, off and on. My MVD failed after 18 months.

I am still confused why you would do a gamma instead of MVD,?
Haven’t been here in a while, but TN1 responds way better than gamma, with an exceptional surgeon.

Hi Dancer, I'm pretty afraid of MVD. Gama knife is non-invasive I've already want and had Risotamy and sure as hell won't do that again.so I thought I would try the gamma thing. My first surgeon was a clutz and I had a complete blast up just after an MRI right on the table as I sat up. Was very embarrassing. Any way thanks for the chat.
