Finding a GREAT neruologist

I have posted a few times, but am looking for a new neuroloist that would have more insight into my bilateral facial pain. Anticonvulsants work to fight the pain (gabapentin 2100 mg for now, with a combo of other pain pills). I have 3 months to go until I have my 4th baby and I want to get an appointment scheduled with someone that cares. Can anyone out there give me a name? I know I will have to travel, and that doesn’t bother me. I just can’t sit idle when I will have 4 kids under the age of 5 and have to go thru this pain. Mine is bilateral, constant, burning, crushing, aching pain. I have contacted a dr in California that will look at me, but has never seen this before, so I am would like to find someone that HAS seen this before. I want someone to run me thru the gauntel and see what is going on with me. Do I have Atypical TN, do I have something else? Just need someone that has experience. Please help!!

Hi Katie. I’m sorry to hear you are having so much pain- and while you are pregnant of all times! I’m new to all this so I’ve been doing a lot of research lately on the internet (while I’m at work no less). Have you looked into chiropratic care? I think I read a story on the internet where a man was cured with chiropractic care. I’m not sure how true that really is or not, but if you are having bi-lateral pains maybe you have some issue going on with your neck or something? Just a thought. I hope you feel better!

Hi Katie this is the link to the Facial Pain Association website - they’re based in America. I’m hoping you can call them and they can put you in contact with the right people and get you the help you need. Best wishes.
