Hi, I am taking tegretol for about 3 weeks now. After the first week felt great no side effects. Starting 3 days ago I became very nauseous. I can’t eat and all I want to do is sleep. Quite lightheaded as well. Could this be due to the meds? I don’t really feel ill like I have the flu. Need some advise.
These are symptoms which should be reported to the doctor who prescribed your Tegretol. Have you been tapered up in stages during the three weeks? And what is your current dose?
Agreeing with Red. My side effects were so bad, that I had to be taken off of Tegretol. Typically your body should adjust within 7 days of each increase or tapering up.
The weird thing is for 2 weeks I was fine. I will call the Dr tomorrow. Hope it is not the tegretol as this is the first time I have been pain free in a long time.
