Question......Has anyone ever had one eye randomly start twicthing out of the blue? Not the top of the lid but the bottom of my eye has been twitching on and off for days. It doesn't hurt but its extremely annoying! I was just curious if it has something to do with my TN.
I wear contacts so it could always be that.

I don’t wear contacts and my left eye twitches on and off all the time and when I get a migraine it effects my sight. I have to talk to my doc about that because it has been 2 times now that I could hardly see from my eye, it only last for a while though. Strange stuff.
My eye twitches all the time too. Right under my left eye and I wear contacts as well. My neurologist referred me to an ophthalmologist and he found that I had the cold sore virus in my eye which was also causing irritation and flare ups and all sorts of lovely side effects.
Could be something completely different from what you are experiencing but, nonetheless, I would go see an OPHTHALMOLOGIST soon if it doesn’t stop. Also, are your eyes really dry? Try getting some really good eye drops and using them 4 or 5 times a day.
I know the twitching is annoying. I have gotten use to it, but I hope it just goes together someday. Hope you can find an answer. Good luck!
anticonvulsants can cause this side effect. happens to me too. both sides!

I had/have hemifacial spasms on the right side of my face. It started out as eye twitching and then gradually involved the whole side of my face. It seemed to flair up when I was extremely tired. When I had the MVD in March, the neurosurgeon said that he thought the spasms were caused by my MS ~~ he saw all the scarring in my brain 
He did however, insert two (not one as planned) teflon sponges between the compressed veins and my trigeminal nerve. The spasms haven’t come back (perhaps because of the still-swelled brain) and if they do, they plan to botox the spasms. I only have twinges of TN pain and am happy to be pain-free!!

I have had twitchy eyes for the last ten years. It started with the eyelids twitching, now the bottom lid twitches. Mostly the left one. That is so annoying. Mine would twitch on and off for several weeks, then just stop. I am due for it to start up again.
Yes, the lower portion of my right eye twitches off and on. I don’t know if it has anything to do with my TN, although the TN is also on the right side.

Strange… My TN affects my right side of my face, but since taking all of the meds my left eye has been randomly twitching. It is annoying. I also wear contacts. I have noticed that it happens more frequently when I’m feeling anxious or upset, which leads me to believe it is more neurological rather than due to my contacts.

My upper left eyelid twitches. I don't wear contacts and it happens when I wake up and throughout the day. I take Gabapentin. It's a little freaky.
