My new pain management doc put me on exalgo last Monday. I had my second mvd just under 3 weeks ago and I’ve had several complications and LOTS of pain. He was thinking this would stop the roller coaster of pain meds and give me more consistent pain control. I’m wondering if anyone else has been on this med and what your experiences were?

So far it seems like it really knocks me out when I first take it. I’m definitely able to take less norco so that’s a good thing. Today I’m having a relatively high pain day though. I guess those are still to be expected 3 weeks post op with all of my complications. Sometimes its hard to tell if one med is working when I’m still on so many others!
