the topamax did nothing ...well i weigh less than 7 stone now...my bony ass is painful to sit on what a bummer...now on epanutin has anyone else tried this drug still building up the dose so not sure if its gonna work or not....strange side effects so far ..suddenly felt like i would faint face starts sweating...threw up then my face felt cold and sweated a ridiculous amount at the same time my brain felt like it was on fire very very hot and down my spine to the middle of my back strangest thing ever kinda freaked me out...has anyone else had a reaction like this

Epanutin is another name for Dilantin or Phenytoin.
It’s used quite often in the treatment of TN. I was on it in combination with tegretol and baclofen, however my TN was med resistant at the time so I can’t attest to how it worked.
I had no adverse reactions, slight side effects when I was adding and increasing it but those all went away. Many ERs in hospital use this drug as well for TN treatment.
I really hope it works for you.
I wouldn’t hesitate to try it again for myself if I needed too.
Google up phenytoin and read all info regarding side effects, so you’re aware.
