Day 4 or 5 of being medicated all day, and I'm getting twinges again :S

I was happy that taking 100mg carbamazepine tabs every 6 hrs or so was keeping the pain attacks away, which let me eat and be merry almost like I used to. Today however, in the evening, I noticed some twinges coming and since it was close to the timie I was to take another tab, figured it was just that. After taking it though, they didn't go away, and i took another half tab, but still I get them, although a tiny bit less.

My pain-free week is done? I was happy heh. I've been calling the gamma ray clinic here in Toronto every day this week and so far, nobody has answered. They close at 4:30pm, but still don't answer during their regular hours; bunch of lazy people! I need to get fixed now!

Ah well.

Stick with the programme. Meds take time to build up to their most efficient level, up to one month in some cases. If you haven’t done so, speak to your doc about how to increase the doses safely. I got caught out a couple of times mostly trying to keep the dosage at the bare minimum. I take a load of meds now, after years of trying to keep it down. Daily dose: 1600mgs, Tegretol, 1600mgs Gabapentin, 15mgs Baclofen, 50mgs Amitriptyline and some other bits an pieces for other ailments. Given the pain I went through, I can’t see me reducing the meds in the near future. My doc was gracious enoungh not to say I told you so.
