This is my finished drawing with colour. I have added colour only to give more feeling to this picture and try to convey the various sensations i go through physically. When pain is in full swing all of the areas you see can be affected or only some. It is a battle you cannot run from.
Hi Mel, I'm curious...did you draw this from the top of your head (so to speak). If so..You have some serious talent!
Could have used this one at my first neuro app. 5 years ago :). Although my teeth themselfs just hurt a 'lil. I just clench my left jaw all the time, totally no control over it. I think that's a reaction to..not a reason of.
Anyway..good job
thanks stevie, yeah i makde it up but i have tried to draw it in a way that best decribes all of my pain happening at once in iots various areas and strengths. Of course its un common to have all those pains at one exact time but its kind of a map..i need to update it, things have changed recently :P And i think alot opf people who have jaw pain or aching teeth clench without meaning to as a symptom of pain, its like a stressed person who tensed there shoulders, the ache makes u tighten up the face without intending too and in one moment it can feel like it helps but then it only makes it worse, i know the clenching thing you speak of. Sometimes when my teeth hurt alot i take something blunt like the back of a pen and tap at them..so stupid if u already have pain but its like im trying to distract my teeth or something..much like someone with a headache grasping there head..just sort of happens!
This is great the eyes tell a desolate story. Something I can relate to. Not to sound depressing or anything
The picture is incredible, it really does give a visual to what it going on. They should put that as a background for the information cards they have been discussing.
Thank you Mark , i almost wanted to take this to my appointments so i didnt have to spend ages trying to explain to people what i felt where. I actually made it so i could show my family and friends a little better and i really felt they understood somewhat better after seeing it!
Thermotronica you do not sound too depressing or anything hehe, yes the eyes look rather lost and alone i agree :)
This drawing is wonderful! It explains so perfectly what I never seem to be able to find the words to convey.
This is a great picture of a sad and depressing thing. Thank you so much for making it. I feel so blessed that I only get the bottom two. I’m sorry you’re in so much pain.
thanks guys i really appreciate the feedback. Its interesting to look back knowing that was in 2012, i am looking at this picture now for the first time in a long time and realise the areas where i experience pain and the type of pain has spread and changed..i did not even notice it till now, maybe its time to make an edited version.
Great picture. It really helps to show the pain much easier than trying to describe it. What a great idea to try to "draw" what I feel to take in to a dr. appt.
