After one year of horrible pain and having two neurologists telling me that Gabapentin was not available in a tablet, I found out from a pharmacist that it is indeed available in tablets at 600 mg. Gabapentin has worked great for me at 600 mg level twice before, but in capsule form - which I had to quit because of intense GI inflammation (ulcers, gastritis, IBS). I was finally able to get a perscription for it and tonight - HALLELULAH - I started taking it under my tongue - my first 150 mg pill. Dissolved in about 15 minutes. No problems so far. Will work my way up to 150 mg, four times a day (600mg total). Hopefully my teeth won’t fall out or I won’t get any inflammation in my mouth. Goes to show how much research we have to do, how little doctors know about this disease, and how much we have to fight for ourselves!!
