I had two of my worst episodes of pain within a week's time. The worst was last Friday night and the next worse was on Tuesday night. The days after (Sat/Wed) were really hard as I was extremely fatigued and still ultra sensitive with little jolts of pain periodically. Then, yesterday was better, still some pain but not enough to interfere too much with what I had to do work wise and after work.
Today has offered a brand new experience, though. There is only a slight amount of lingering achiness but what's most disconcerting is this tingling/tickly feeling I have, especially along my jaw line and chin. At times it feels like I'm walking through a spider web or that tiny little spiders are walking on my face. I keep brushing my hand against my face to wipe away something that isn't there. At other times there's just an itch I can't scratch. Like I said, I've never had this sensation related to my TN before.
Is this an example of my trigeminal nerve calming down? Has anyone experienced anything like this before?
Karen,
I agree! The days after really bad attacks are so exhausting. I feel like my body has been taken over and I am trying to fight and not let it win. The slight amount of lingering achiness could be the nerves calming down, or it could be the pattern of your TN pain. Everyone is different. I do experience ultra sensitivity the days or hours after a bad attack.
Wishing you well!!
Karen,
Glad you are better. I guess my spider web feeling is different than Ally’s and Sharon’s. I don’t relate mine to following a bad attack. I have them often and it doesn’t necessarily follow an attack. I know my nose itchiness is definitely the sign of an attack.

It’s been days since I’ve had a pain attack but the itchy/tingly/spider web sensations continue. Again, this is the first I’ve ever experienced anything like this with my TN which I guess means it’s an ever evolving condition? Does that sound right or do the majority of you have the same symptoms month after month, year after year with no change?
