About exercise

I was wondering what type of exercise does anyone use to help keep in shape when you really can't get out to walk. I go out outside without covering my face I get pains going through my right cheek and then I have a few days pain afterwards, so was wondering about an exercise that I can use inside that won't strain me and have pains in the right side of my forehead shooting up through my head.

Thanks in advance.

I have done Pilates with a pysiotherapist for a number of years, before I had TN. I've had ongoing neck and back issues for years and the Pilates has really helped. My program is developed for me personally and that means that the therapist can make adjustments as I need depending on pain levels on any given day.

In the last year I have also started doing gym sessions 3 times a week and am surprised at how much I enjoy the workouts. It took me a few months to adjust but now I look forward to going and often find my pain reduces as I start to exercise.

I used to enjoy walking outside but even with a face mask the cold and wind is a problem all through winter so I only do that when the weather cooperates.

Finding something to do has been good for me physically but it has really helped me mentally, I struggled to get off the lounge for the first year after I was diagnosed.

Hope you find something that you enjoy.
