I have been told that if its not TN meds won’t work. I’m on tegretol and its working, yay!!! I still have in the back of my mind maybe it rosacea.
Yeah I know i should listen to the docs lol ( 2 derms said no to rosacea), but TN symptoms are similar to rosacea , although I don’t get acne and I don’t have it on my other side of face,
Both of my eyes are burning, wondering why it’s both of them, when my burning pain on face is on left?
I was also told that responding to anti-convulsants, like Tegretol, is diagnostic, though not a "conclusive test"for TN. Wish you the best in getting this figured out.....Kassie
Glad the Tegretol is working! As far as both eyes burning, I have no idea. If you start to have breakthrough pain on the Tegretol, it's probably time to up the dose. Go back to the doc so they can change your script. I had to do it 3 times til I got to my working dose of 1200mg a day.
