ER are not always equipped understanding your pain. I live on my own and when I do have a flare there is no way I would be able to get to ER anyway. Only been once when a friend visited and my pain upset her so, I agreed she took me to ER. They gave me a morphine injection and made me comfotable. Kept the room dark snd brought me ice packs and warm beanbags at intervals. Moved very quietly and did not touch me!
I felt they did all that I do at home, only here someone else did it for me. I guess it would depend how knowledgeable the staff on duty are about TN.

Ask for iv of Dilantin. It hurts but I’ve heard it really helps.
