Type II dependent on position?

So as i said before on here, the type I shocks/zaps are pretty well controlled with my meds. Up to now, i've only had real problems with the type II burning pain.

However, now...i'm having the type II pain come depending on what position i'm in and/or what position i'm holding my mouth in. (my pain has always been primarily inside my mouth).

Before, when i got type II pain..it was full on no matter what. period.

I'm just curious if anyone else has/is experiencing this. It seems a little odd to me, and quite frankly it worries me to no end. I go from thinking sinus issue all the way up to brain tumor (or worse...is there worse?).

*deep breath*

Have you had MRI to rule out brain tumor? Protocol for most.

Do you have lidocaine mouthwash?

the more you worry, more stress = more symptoms.

Go see neurologist…but many have TN morph into different presentations.

yep i got the mouthwash, and i try not to stress.

I DID see a neurologist ...and he acted like i was wasting his time. I asked about MRI as well as wanting to discuss MVD...he said we didn't need to, since the meds were doing ok.

Guess i need to find a new one, eh? (or harrass this one...)

Thanks for answering, though....

I find that how I am sat can bring on pains! I'm sure in my case that bad posture doesn't help.

Sorry about your neurologist not being very understanding you do need to find someone who is.

Take care and try not to worry too much.

Yes posture…so important. I read that and adjusted myself. I tend to draw up my shoulders. Maybe this explains my neck pain. Pt is helping. Can’t be good for the Tn.

I’m at dentist…deep breaths, needing a cracked filling fixed on back rt molar. Took my full tregretol dose last night and tooth pain almost completely gone. Praying this dentist doesn’t aggravate my Tn pain.
