so my TN has been acting up so with with being so sick, that none of my meds are even touching it. I just don't know what to do this seems like it has been going on for ever but the flu just started to run its course. all's I want to do is crawl in a whole and come out when it's all over...I can't even sleep without getting shocked let alone anything else. the oh thing that I'm thankful for in my husband and boys for being so patient and understanding...anyhow hoping for relief sometime soon...:/
Oh Janice, I’m so sorry. I hope you start to feel better really soon. Wish I had some great advice to share to help you get through it. Rest, rest rest… Have you tried a heating bag/ pad that you can microwave to help ease the pain? Thinking of you, (( hugs )) Mimi

i have tried a heating pad, and my heating heart i have them pretty much wraped around my face my boys thinks its funny but thats the only thing that gives me the tiniest relief if any…and my bed has been my best friend, with my water bottle that has a straw because i have to slip it between my teeth to even try to drink something…((hugs)) back to you as well oxo janice
Hope you feel better soon. I have noticed that when my sinuses/allergies are acting up, my meds stop working. I have a LOT of these problems. I am having sinus/ear problems now and my meds are beginning to stop working. Thank goodness I have an appointment with neuro on the 16th!

I'm with you Janice. I've been suffering the usual shocks and triggers that go along with it. Now, I also have this insane cough that appears to be a part of the flu because I have a fever and all that goes with it. This cough is pretty non stop and I'm stabbed in the forehead each and every time. Any ideas has to any cough remedies that I can try?
The past week has been a real nightmare! I don't know which part of me, is hurting the most any more.

Remedies for cough depend on type of cough. Persistant cough is sometimes helped by sucking on hard sweets and swallowing a spoonful of honey which helps to soothe the throat and as much fluids as you can tolerate.. if cough productive with coloured spit should see doc as may be infection requiring antibiotics, if suffering chest pain or wheeze with cough see doctor.. if cough worsens with cold air, wrap a scarf around mouth or try steaming, if worsening in warm atmospheres, cold air is better. Otherwise see pharamcist who will be able to advise on possible meds that may help but remember to tell them what meds you are already taking as some cough remedies cannot be taken with certain meds. Sorry if you have tried these things already and I am just reiterating these things

Thanks for the tips Anan. No reason to see the doctor for my cough. It's just splitting me head into pieces though. The Tegretol had been increased the week before and hasn't had time to catch up yet. Not sleeping much because of all the pain going on. I have never been so out of commission for so long.
