I think u meen i way stupidist now. I'm on topamax and I went to wash my hands. Two hours later I went back into the bathroom and the water in the sink was still running. I forgot to turn it off. I'm going to be changing meds and tegretol may be the next one. I talk to my neurologist on Friday. Brain fog here I come.
I love your title "I am now way stupid." lol I understand and am feeling the same. My doctor has several med students he brings in when he sees me and usually tells them I was a high functioning professional before TN. They all look at me and ooh and ahh at the idiot! I feel like a mouse in the cage during an experiment! It is understandable though. I can't finish a sentence or a thought at times, I can't remember things, I struggle with words and don't ask me to spell! It's frustrating and irritating but it is life now for me. Not everyone goes through this and some people get better. I am taking neurotin, tegretol, amitriptyline, and clonazepam. I don't even know if it is the meds or TN causing all the "brain fog" but it is always there. I would talk to your doctor because there are so many meds out there but stick with what works.
