Anyhow - nothing else to add, sorry. Just trying to make someone laugh.

  1. I love Spinal Tap and its hilarious you brought that up!
  2. I went for a blood patch today. It fixed the screaming positional pressure headaches thank god. I still have the pressure headache I originally had the spinal tap to help diagnose, but Ivan move my head without wanting to die again, so that’s a plus. My lower back is beyond sore from all the digging around in my spinal cord though.
Also, my neurosurgeon sent me to a pain doc who is an anesthesiologist before I had my blood patch and he was SO GOOD. I think I finally found a caring and understanding pain doc. I will be going back to see him again. So awesome when you find a good doctor!
Still waiting to see if my sodium levels have come up. Had the blood drawn earlier today but I was in my procedure and my surgeon is in surgery now. His PA said if they didn’t come up they may readmit me to get them up while they figure out what is going on.
Right now I feel like I have gone from 10+ unbearable I can’t take it anymore pain down to a 5-7 range. And I’ve hot better drugs to manage the pain. All is not lost and hope has returned! Thank you everyone for the blood patch suggestions! I brought it up right away with my doc and they agreed! Sweet relief! This group is amazing!

I am glad you have relief! Thats amazing

I’m happy to report that my sodium levels have come up and my surgeon said there’s nothing “scary” on my scans. He’s puzzled because this is not normally a painful surgery. Going to take a couple days to recover from all the digging in my spinal cord and see where I’m at. Keeping the hope alive!

Ill drink to that.
Well I dont drink much any more, but Ill raise my hand anyhow.

Smash.

I don’t drink at all anymore due to the meds I’m on, but I will raise a glass as well. Every small victory is worth celebrating these days for sure!

Sweeeeetttt!!! So glad to hear that you are doing better!!

Yikes i thought mvd was suposed to help with headaches I have terrible headaches but have never had a mvd the last time i had a headache I went and got excedrin migraine and it actually worked in relieving the headache I was surprised not sure if it was just a fluke the other thing that relieved my headaches was chiropractic but since u just got out of surgery i wouldn't suggest that I believe the meds im on everyday nortriptyline help with alot of the pain of the headaches too. I also have been trying to eat healthy which has also helped me i really hope you find a answer soon!! keep us posted
