I am so sorry Mimi. Of course this is my concern as well going into my surgery this week. I think this is everyones concern and fear. Let’s think of this as a speed bump. I pray you will feel relief soon. Hugs dear friend, very gentle hugs.

I’m ok, the TN pain is responding well to the extra dose of Tegretol, (Thank God) not completely gone, but I can live with this. I finished the anti virals and no sign of shingles…whew!
The tiny rash is still present, my doc had a look and just advised to keep using the cream.
I see my neuro on Thursday, and haven’t heard back yet from my NS…
If you ask me it’s just a slight return of the pain. As long as this extra dose keeps working, I’m happy.

Mimi so glad the extra Tegretol is doing the trick. Tegretol helped me out recently whilst going through dental work for a huge filling in my two trigger teeth. ( A few years ago when my TN began, X rays showed there was nothing wrong with these teeth yet now there is a huge hole running through both ajoining teeth) I have to wait and see how the nerve in these teeth settle as I may need a root canal in both if so I will again take the Tegretol and pray the TN doesnt return.
