Hooray today is/was my first day back at school for getting my bachelors degree in photography. I’m so gosh darn excited after having to drop out last spring because of TN. I was so scared I would never get back on track for my degree, and here I am back in school as of today! I still expect some challenges due to the TN but dang it I am getting my degree come hell or high water. So don’t give up, keep fighting. It is possible to get back to what you want. I’m just really flipping happy and excited about being a student again. Wahooooooo=:D
Congrats to you Kari..! Sounds like getting back to school is such a wonderful thing for you. I'm glad to hear such happiness. *smile*
Positive thing for today.....Bacon. MMmmmmm...Bacon.

I'm lucky enough to be packing for a short cheap cruise to the Bahamas for my 50th birthday - the last 2 birthdays with TN and MVD were not anything to celebrate - remission is priceless but not to be taken for granted!
When I am at the beach - my whole physiology changes, down to the cellular level - stress is gone, tension gone, I search for seashells and snorkel - and just soak up the warm rays and marvel at palm trees and tiny crabs on the beach - none of that stuff here in Kansas City ! : )
Today's happiness...
That smell you get when you first start peeling an orange. ...you know, before your hands get all sticky..lol

Haven't posted anything for a few days because I am really busy with work.......even bringing some home at night. So here goes.....I am thankful that I am still able to work and that my bosses love me and spoil me and pay me whether I am at work or not. I love where I work! I am also thankful for my bed............I have been extremely sleepy lately because of the increase in meds, and my bed is my best friend! Love to you all.
Thanks all for the well wishes with school, and yes jam absolutely over the moon happy to be back in school, even with this first class being a tough class of HTML coding.
Today I am happy that my hubby not only did the grocery shopping even though I couldn’t, and brought me home some of my favorite candies home, chocolate covered raspberries sticks. Yum.
Also just the thought of bacon makes me happy. It so brings the funny wish of having a bacon smelling perfume to mind. How fun and funny that would be.
I finished watching "Homeland", which is one of the best television shows on the air. I really enjoyed it.
I bought some throwback shelltops to wear to Hopkins on Mon (for MVD) and was given super comfy new slippers to give me the incentive to get up to walk to halls (when they say its ok of course)
paycheck today included a full 80hrs plus xmas and new years holiday pay. I won't give the actual amount (that would be crass) ...but it was a nice big fat check!
*happy fat girl dance!*
Shopping is in my future!

omg..i would go broke if they had a bacon-scented perfume! It is an awesome idea though...wonder why "they" haven't done it yet? My husband would never leave my side!

Today I’m super grateful for having a tolerable pain day!
The first in weeks!
I enjoyed cleaning and organizing my house , well a part of my house, but wow feels good to have been sooooo productive! Kinda felt like the old me…I miss her sometimes…
So YEY me!
And today is my youngest daughters 15th bday!
Mimi xx
I went to dinner with my two best friends and their wives and my girlfriend last night. We've been friends for 15+ years and it was so good to get together and laugh.
I'm organizing my kitchen and bedroom today. That makes me happy because everything looks so nice and neat, plus it's a nice way to grab control of something that has a positive outcome!
Plus I get to spend time with my mom. :)
I helped my kids make dinner tonight, this was their first time really cooking and they loved it and the food turned out great! It was fun and made us all feel good. Plus one of my sons actually ate a little broccoli, a huge bonus for me since he refuses all veggies all the time.
Positive...Had a full 7 hours sleep, In the last 5 yrs we have survived on 3/4 hrs at the most, Amy does not understand day/night so is up until the early hours, last night thanks to the warmth and cosyness of the home she managed 7 hours...Go Amy Mummy is so happy and full of energy.
Yesterday...my younger brother (he's 33yr) gave me a nice thick (and pretty) scarf. I've been using an old ugly one for years. He said maybe a new scarf would help my face not hurt so bad.
He's a brat, but he can be nice to me sometimes. lol
It was sweet and made me smile....

I could not be happier. After 8 months of regular, horrible, stabbing pains in my forehead and 3 months of intermittent pain, I am now in complete remission and been completely weaned off of both of my anti-seizure meds. 10 days totally drug-free and no symptoms. Med side affects are 98% gone. My local neurologist and Mayo neurologists have no logical explanation but I certainly don't care. I AM SO HAPPY TO BE NORMAL AGAIN! Maybe all the prayers from a lot of people helped! Good luck to those reading this. I will pray for you.
So glad for you Brad!
Thanks Jackie. I am hoping that the pain stays away but understand that it may not. Every pain-free day is a great day! I hope you are finding some relief from this agonizing condition. Good luck to you.
