Hi guys
I had my MVD April 2010 and have been pain free until mid-December. It started out with tingles down the same side as before, not painful, but a few days ago the pain started again, and it’s been getting worse day by day.
I’ve heard it could be the weather as it was v.cold when the tingles started, but it’s gone milder now. Also I’ve heard it could be scar tissue although I know nothing on this, or simply enough the pain could have returned…
My surgeon said (when my mouth was only tingling) that this pain is normal and will stop, however I’ll be speaking to him hopefully this week (if PA will let me get through!)
Anyone got any thoughts on this? Has this happened to anyone else & if so, what happened?

I had a MVD in 2007 and was pain free for 2 years. Hope yours is not returning, but it is possible. Mine came back when we were moving home, don’t know if the stress started it. Some people are lucky and it goes completely. Lets hope with you it is not the TN returning, you will know yourself if it is. I don’t understand this TN I have read about it, but everyone seems to be different. Do the doctors really know all there is to know about it. Take care Margaret.

Hi Rachael. I had the MVd 3 years ago and just last week I started getting the tingles in my face too. I haven’t had any pain but it is in the exact same spot that I had the pain before. I am really scared it is coming back. I had my surgery at UPMC in Pittsburgh. Where did you have yours?
