Does anyone have nico? I’m new to the sight. Been fighting this 20 plus years ouch!

I finally found the right dr to send my to a specialist who deals with it . Top doc in the country. It is a neurological problem poor circulation in jaw bone which becomes infected and dies.
I just keep wondering if thats what i have...but i had several dentists and oral surgeon look at me and they didn't say anything about it
Just wondering how the NICO has impacted your teeth. I was diagnosed with TN but I also have a lot of unexplained dental bone loss and I always wondered if it could be something more like NICO. How were you diagnosed? Is this a dental issue as well? Curious to hear....

Most general dentists and oral surgeons don’t believe it can exist I happened to go to the right place after 3 yrs. Of frustrations. Dr don’t understand well either.

Doesn’t do anything to teeth but they think you need root canals as they think that’s the problem then they went down the line and pulled them. It affects the bone like as in an infection. They say my jaw bone is like concrete, and not much blood flow in the bone. When the bone swells it presses on the nerve.

I read ur info ugly sound just like me! Wow! I had a root canal it made it worse got it pulled and went down the line! Omg!

I wondered if i had this..i fit many symtoms but those with the knowledge basically told me almost no one believes nico is real..made plenty sense to me though. and that no one wants to aknowledge it because it would put dentists at fault with many jaw or facial neuralgias after dental work...yeah i can see why no one wants to admit it exists..money lawsuits and accepting blame.. I have until now been told i have trigeminal neuralgia but my pain clinic doctor told me last week he agrees with me that i have trigeminal neuropathy resulting from chronic infection and bone death...did not hear the word NICO but it sure made me wonder.
I really think a lot of docs out there don’t want to mess with it but the biopsies every time come back nico
