My neurologist said more than likely you won't ever see signs of TN on an ultrasound, mri or an xray. It's nearly impossible to diagnose most times and is generally determined by the description from the patients.
I also had one and it showed nothing either for the TN, however they did find a cyst in my sinus's, though it had nothing to do with the TN.
