Migraines after MVD

I've been suffering with TN since 2009. In November 2013 i had MVD I'm still having quite a bit of facial pain (no where near as bad) but I'm also experiencing horrible migraines. Can anyone tell me about their experience after their MVD. I feel pretty hopeless right about now with the TN and the migraines. I think I'm going to loose it sometimes.

Hmmm

This sounds so familiar. It could be my story. Yes I am having the same issue. My MVD was in April 2013 . I am back on Tegrital

Hi

I am checking in with you...How are you? My MVD was so bad it took me months just to walk around the block...I had a swollen ceribellum and complications that lasted several months. My TN has turned into a typical with cluster headaches. I am hanging in there

If I miss one dose of my tegretol it is the worse.

I also are still having really bad headaches. I am now seeing a pain management specialist. Next week I go for Botox injections. Thanks for checking in. I will pray that u have relief.

Botox is suppose to help with migraines. I, as well as other members of my family, have had many discussions about migraines after surgeries. I had my daughter at 22 and a hysterectomy when I was 24 and had migraines for a year after having my daughter. Migraines do happen to some people after surgery and it has to do with the type of anastasia. Google migraines/headaches after surgery from anastasia. I was told to drink lots of water to flush my system of the drugs after the hysterectomy, wish I had known it when I had my daughter and migraines went away after 3 months. I had an epidural when I had her. Has something to do with the spinal cord in some and the type of anastasia used for surgeries. There's several different kinds. Hope you feel better soon, you're well on your way!
