Medicare coverage for annual visits

I have had diagnosis and medication for TN for a number of years. I was diagnosed and treated by a facial pain dentist. Now i have been told that Medicare will no longer cover treatments for facial pain and TMZ. (I have traditional Medicare with Supplement)

I wonder if it is because he is a dentist not an MD?

Have any of you had similar experience of have knowledge on the subject?

Yes, you need to be going to a neurologist specializing in TN for Medicare reimbursement. I have it and am covered.

Best wishes, Jeannie

Thanks. I suspected as much. Up to this time last year it was covered
for the dentist specialist. I don’t know exactly when they quit covering it,
I guess I could find out. When was your most recent covered visit?
