I have been in that exact same place! I was visiting my sister and her husband when he was stationed, ‘just up the road’… was that Miramar? Ummm… Hold on, think i have a picture… nah, i have to actually search through a big box and scan it 
But… they lived in Twenty-Nine Palms 
Yep! We bought our tractor from a guy in 29-Palms. This pic was taken in our “front yard”. We live on 20 acres on the side of Mt. San Jacinto, nearest neighbor is a mile away. I love the solitude… so quiet here sometimes I can hear my face throb (sorry, poor attempt at humor). We are off-grid, meaning that we make our own electricity with solar and wind. Fortunately, we get cell reception and we have water so I’m not hiking to the creek with a bucket on my head. And thank goodness for satellite internet, crummy as it is! That’s my link to the world outside our little red-neck haven :o)
