I need a 2nd MVD; Doctors who specialize in them?

I had a successful MVD several years ago. But veins have grown back. Does any surgeon specialize in 2nd MVDs?

Thank you and God bless you all on your journey.

Robin you are not alone. I have almost all same symptoms. I was feeling very depressed. Now that I found this site and all these wonderful people I now have a sense of hope. I haven’t had an MVD yet; but I did send my notes and scans to Dr Ken Casey in Trenton,MI. Thanks to kcdancer and Red for their advice and infinite knowledge on this nasty disease. Have you looked up Geniculate Neuralgia…I think I may have that as we as TN, I also have a lot of ear pain.
Good Luck,
Kathy

Hi there ---- Dr. Ken Casey wrote the book on MVD -- been doing it for Decades! He learned under the inventor of it.... many people get ahold of him when they are harder cases.... he still travels to lecture etc...... I would do it all over with him if I had to.... Flew from MO to MI and it was worth it all!

Robin,

I'm not a doctor but much of what you describe sounds like a condition that my wife has had to endure for over 30 years. Has anyone suggested that you might have Meniere's Disease (which would also include tinnitus) Although you said that a vein/vessel is causing compression, it might be worth your while to visit with an ear specialist. Just my two-cents.

Joe

What is Dr. Casey's contact information. I've had three procedures. Glycerol Rhizotemy (2001), MVD (2003), Gamma Knife (2006). I was recently recommended from neurosurgeon to repeat Gamma Knife.

Thanks,

Joe G

Joe:

This is the man I would consult with if you can -- when contacting - make story short and to the point. Procedures/dates, current pain, etc.

http://www.drkencasey.net/contact.html

poke around on his website and try to find his video on the net --- "tides of neuropathic pain" - you can see how funny, wise and passionate he is.... on youtube, or on TNA website... may even be on here

If you don't hear back from him by email in a week - call the office..... usually answers emails from blackberry if traveling.

Good Luck!

Robin - any solutions yet?

I also agree on Dr. Brown, I had ATN and TN and he did an MVD and I am 90% pain free and the only reason I have any pain is because of an auto-immune disorder that I have that is being a bugger to treat

Wendy

Wendy thanks for also confirming Dr Brown, I have experienced any doctor as committed to getting tangible results for each patient he
Treats. Ron
