Here I go asking questions agian

I have a question. I am on 3 tablets of Oxacarbine, ( I know I spelled it wrong) 150 mg, 3 tablets 3 times a day and nortripiline 2 10 mg. at night. I have been on the meds for a month, and I am still having problems. I will have a good day and then a real bad day. Do these meds ever work? Will there come a time when I won't have pain or must I go on like this for ever. I thought medication was suppose to calm the nerve. My doctor doesn't want to raise the dose because of the danger to the liver. I wait every day for at least 2 days of no pain. The meds are pretty high and they are not helping the way they should. Did anyone have this problem at first and did it take a few months for them to work? Today was horrible felt like my gum and tooth were being cut up by needles. I will try the

hi McKenzie! did you mean oxycodone? or oxycontin? I don:t know what to say-they are narcotic pain relievers and take only as directed-nortripiline is one of the antidepressants that may help with pain. I really hope that you can try the spigelia 200c and mag phos to help the facial nerves relax a bit-no side effects or drug interactions according to homeopathy sites I have been on.1 800 homeopathy has a homeopathic pharmacist there during the day that will be happy to help with some of the questions that you may have.i had to use warm compresses on my face at times-fine while it was on anyway!stay away from hard crunchy food and cold and hot food and drink-it doesn't have to be tepid though! I wish I could offer more help. I will pass on any more info that I find. you might want to try the benfotiamine 160mg from swansons as well-helps with nerve damage in diabetics-its a synthetic vit b1 that has amazing properties in the medical research articles I have read and there has been a forum somewhere that mentioned a woman who stopped having tn pain after taking it. the natural supplements generally take longer to effect change because they are doing work on the problem-not just masking it.someone described homeopathy as nano tech for your cells/immune system. its not nonsense because my rabbit stated making awful honking noises and his eye was swollen shut and draining so I called the homeopathy place and they said my homeopathic hayfever would be fine for him.after 24hrs and probably 4 doses he was fine! I was so glad! I hope you can try the things I mentioned and stay with them and that they help you-I know the hell that youre going through but things can turn around! if I find out anything more I will let you know and with all the members there should be lots of good ideas! hang in there McKenzie!! erin

It really hasn't helped at all, maybe one or two days without pain. I have been in pain since this morning and it is not any better. Usually it goes away at night but not this time. I can't believe I have only been on it for a month and it is not working. I am waiting for the package of supplements from the auvedic place and if they do not help I will try the homeopathic supplements you recommended. Thank you again. I do not want a higher dose of medication.
