I had twisted my arm and started to take Voltaran for it, so far it has taken away the awful headaches and the pain in my face. I have a Dr. appt. on the 3rd of April and will discuss this with him and see if I can continue taking it for my tn2. It works! He had prescribed it for leg and hip pain. Supposed to be taken twice a day 75 mg. I only have to take one it seems. so far so good.
Have never heard of this but let us know what your doctor says and how it goes
I just read about this med, it looks like it might help. It seems like something that would be good for RA too, I’m always looking for something that would work for TN and RA too! Let us know what you find out.
I will let everyone know. I have my appointment on the 4th of April. Just had my blood work done today too.
Just got back from Dr's office. I discussed the Voltaran and also discussed what he thought about Advil. I can keep myself comfortable also with Advil. About 3 a day does it for me. He said either would be okay long term, but he suggested I stay on the Advil. He will be checking my liver during this time. I go back in six months. So I will go back on the Advil and see how it goes. He said not to take anymore Voltaran. I cancelled my appt. with the neurologist. My family Dr. said why start on a prescription meds if I can be comfortable with the Advil, He said even 6 a day is okay to take. Glad I waited and got his opinion. By the way the Voltaran works at least it did for my TN2
I use a voltaren gel. It is a diclofenac solution I apply topically. Works pretty well touches maybe 8 percent of the pain.
That is interesting. I actually was taking diclofenac, generic for Voltaren. but was a pill 75 mg. Had originally taken it for sciatic pain.
