If anyone is taking nerve pain meds and it is not helping,I would suggest you talk to your doctor about stopping them. I was on Gapepentin and was up to 8500 to 10,000 miligrams per day and I really felt they were helping. Every time my pain would spike I would rely on the medicine. My pain doctor suggested I taper off the med and now I do not take anything. I still have the pain but it has been awhile since my pain has been greater then a "4". I use to spend DAYS on the couch unable to do anything with pain levels from "7" to "10+". Just something I waned to share. John
