Does strobe lights or flashing tv shows etc cause Tn attack in other ppl too?

I recently notice that strobe lights, flashing lights and flashing tv shows all can set off Tn twitching attacks. I know TN is related to epilepsy so I understand why but am surprised that strobe lights never used to do that when I was in high school. Strobe lights made me dizzy but didn't set off attacks. Weird. Hopefully someone else has this too so I'm not the only one.

I've heard from a number of patients whose pain appears to be triggered by bright light. So you are very likely not the only one who has problems with strobe lights.

Yes, flashing lights even from the sun makes my TN pain bad.I always feel like sitting in a dark place.

I work in Entertainment, and am exposed to bright strobe lights, loud music and sounds, etc nightly. They don't trigger spasms but they cetainly can trigger pain in my case.

Flashing lights do affect me that way.I have to keep my house so dark, and if I go out,I wear a pair of glasses like blind people do.I will get so much shocks and pains shooting through my eyes if I dont wear them.So you are not alone in this.It really does suck.I feel like a vampire, only going out at night.LOL

when my tn was in full bloom the sun actually made me feel better, i guess the heat . i have had some small bouts of pain since my surgery. one night i was reading on my iphone and it triggered so much pain. but it was not the usual trigeminal pain...it was located in my jaw. after i took 1 pill it went away. i have to be careful that i don't do things to trigger the pain. but sunlight has never done that to me.
