Thx Red, sorry, thought maybe you didn’t see that. At least we’re making sure it’s understood,
LoL : )

I wanted to try anything to relieve the pain and tried an adjustment by a chiropractor. It was awful. The room spun around and I could hardly walk to get out of his office I was so dizzy. The trigeminal neuralgia pain became so intense that I wound up in the emergency room that night. On top of that, the ER physician treated me like a drug seeker even though I had never darkened their door before. They gave me dilaudid which did not help at all except to help me sleep. I tell everyone that I know this story because I don’t want anyone to chance the complications I suffered from a cervical manipulation, even if they don’t have trigeminal neuralgia.
Kinda worried, since my MD knows nothing about this disorder. You folks are more help than you know. Have been taking 200mg, in the am, 200mg in the afternoon and 200mg at night, since 2 days ago. Feeling pretty relaxed if not drowsy most of the day. (could take a nap at any time). I have concerns about being half Japanese, and the issues with SJS and TEN. Should I consider other meds? The Tegretol is helping and I've only had 6-10 episodes of pain today. They were less severe and did not last as long, thankfully. We had a Thanksgiving dinner, just to celebrate my ability to eat, pain free. :-)
Many thanks,

Cindy, I would just share your concerns with your doctor, schedule an appointment and ask him to read up on it, or print off info of the Tegretol and have him read that.
The drowsiness will dissipate…so glad you were able to enjoy a meal! I hope it continues!
