I will be getting my mouthpiece today. This is to be used to keep medicine on the nerve endings that have been irritated by dental surgery. Quite innovative I think. At least it is dealing with setting something against the nerve endings themselves and isolating the medicine to them. Depending on what medicines will settle the nerve now… that again becomes the interesting part
Who is fitting you with the mouthpiece and prescribing the medications? I've heard of using creams locally on the face but not inside the mouth. I'm not sure if anyone has told you, but the oral mucosa is capable of absorbing a lot of things directly into the blood stream so make sure you're getting someone qualified to do these treatments. I hope this innovative method works for you and your surgery starts healing better.
