CBD Oil helped my daughter

My daughter started having stabbing ear pain in October 2013. She was 17. She was having vertigo and earring loss. The doctor said she had a build up of ear wax, so they cleaned them. That is when the nightmare began. As soon as they cleaned her ears, she had stabbing ear pain. We went to an ENT. He saw NOTHING. We went to another ENT, he saw a whole in her ear drum. We thought that was the problem. She had surgery in June 2014 to repair the whole. Still in pain. She saw doctor after doctor. They said it was all in her head. That she was depressed. Finally got to the Mayo Clinic. Had surgery to cut a nerve that was wrapped around blood vessels in Dec 2014. Was without pain for about a month, then it started again. The neurosurgeon put her on Tegretol, even though we TOLD HIM that it did not work. Finally, we took matters into our own hands and she just started smoking pot. It worked great. But, buy smoking, she got her life back. She was able to get a job, enroll in school again. But still, had to sneak (Dad and stepdad do NOT approve of POT) . AND her job opportunities were limited because of drug testing.

Well that is when I found out about CBD oil. It is made from Marajuana, but does not have the THC oil that makes you high. And it is legal in all 50 states. We ordered a bottle last week and got it in yesterday's mail . IT WORKS!!! We are so happy! No more sneaking around!

This stuff comes in oil for vapes, or you can put it on your tong. You can buy it in pill form, spray form or food form. You can find CBD oil at many different places and many different strengths.

I hope I have helped someone by posting this. Please try it, it could work for you too.

I’m very glad your daughter found something to help her terrible pain. I do live in a legal state and I am a legal patient. I consume cannabis everyday. I typically vaporizer it but find it most effective in eating foods infused with cannabis. I make my own so control the strength.

While your daughter was having to “sneak around” to self medicate, know she was getting mostly THC. Which is fine and is helpful in pain and does help with depression. However, CDB has been bred out of most cannabis plants. You would have to specifically seek out a high CDB which is VERY hard to do unless you live in a state out west where its more accepted.

Even here in MI, where it is legal and I know a LOT of people, it was nearly impossible for me to find a high CDB. Finallly found a strain called Cannatonic, breed here in MI, which is about 18-20% CBD and 1-2% THC.

Your average cannabis plant contains about .5% CDB. Now, with all that being said-I did find some cannatonic cannabis flower which I extracted in coconut oil and add the cocnut oil to my hot chocolate. I have been doing that for about 2 weeks. Honestly, it hasn’t helped the TN pain BUT it has helped my anxiety. CBD is awesome for calming anxiety.

Just yesterday, I added in a second concentrate. Google Rick Simpson-we made a concentrate similair to this but we used 151 alcohol as the extraction. I don’t believe in using naptha or other toxic solvents.

I added 3/4 of a dropper, about 3/4 of a gram, of conccentrate oil to my coco twice yesterday and my TN pain was less this morning. About an hour after being up, I had forgotten about the pain for an instant and blew my nose and OUCH, the TN still hurts, ugh. I’m hoping with more oil, it might at least bring it down a notch until I can see the neurosurgeon next week and schedule MVD.

Theoretically, high CDB oil should help-have you ever seen one of those specials on TV where they give a kid having seizures CBD oil and the seizures stop? The CBD oil should work similiar to tegretol.

To the original poster, if the oil helps your daughter, there is no reason for her not to use it. However, know that the oil you are currently getting is hemp oil, made from the hemp plant. The plant doesn’t have any thc in it thats why it doesn’t get you high. There is something called the enterouage effect with cannabis. Many people believe to get the best results from cannabis you should use whole plant therapy. There are over 100 compounds in marijuana and with the hemp plant you are only really getting one of the coumpounds.

The strength she uses is 100 mg. It has higher doses, 250mg, 500mg, 1000 mg.

Hello,

Thank you for sharing your experience. We are just beginning to use hemp oil and so far we are seeing remarkable improvement in the TN pain. Does she take 100mg broken up throughout the day e.g. 25mg 4x a day or one dose of 100mg?

Is there a brand she is using that she likes?

Thank you

Where can you buy CBD oil or is it better to buy the hemp oil and if so, where can you buy it? How do you use it. Do you put it into food or rub it on the pain area?

You can buy CBD Oil online. She vapes it.

We bought through Bluebird botanicals and are getting really nice result of pain relief taking the oil. It says 15 drops (can be put under tongue) is a serving but we end up doing equivalent to 25 mg at a time (which was 2 droppers full straight into mouth or added to drink. It stopped all the spasms within 1 day..quite impressive.

That is wonderful news! So glad I could help someone else!

Hi. I have been struggling for a year now with this horrible horrible pain I work in a DR office so they just buried me in drugs. This approach manages my pain but the side effects where as bad or almost worse. I tried many combinations and the side effects started to effect my ability to work. That is when a my friend of mine gave me CBD oil for a birthday gift
I had it for over a month too afraid to try it I did some research and decided to try it
I still have pain however the CBD oil and acupuncture helps me at least function. On all the medicine I still had pain and could not function
I reccommend reading about it and giving it a shot. What are you going to lose?
On the Medicine I gained 11 lbs in 4 weeks , was in a brain fog , slept a lot and was emotional. All that on top of my pain.
Now when the pain starts to spike or get electric I have some CBD
I say read about it it has helped me !
