I felt it coming last night, deep in my ear and in my gum. It vanished for a little while, but then by middnight it was in full swing. All in the right side of my face, ears, nose, throat, teeth / gums, behind my eye.
Took 3 pain killers and sat in a hot shower, it settled down a little. Got to sleep around 2am.
Woke up in pain again around 6am. Needed more pain killers and sat in the shower again.
Managed to get back to sleep again around 8am. Around 9am I woke up with this massive jolt through my body. I literally bounced up in my bed. It was like a massive jolt of electricty. I haven’t had that before! I was asleep when it happened so dont really know what it was but it kinda freaked me out. lol
Feel so horrific today, woke up around 3pm and I feel like I have been hit by a train. Got little tingles of pain here and there.
Now I have yet another week of wondering how much I will be able to work, how much money I will be able to pull in … ra ra ra.
Oh no! I hope you feel better. I’ve never had pain that wakes me up, that sounds awful. I definitely know your worries about work. I was diagnosed with TN about a month and a half ago and I missed so much time from work. So, that stressed me out but in turn the stress gave me more attacks. I hope your week gets better. You will be in my prayers.
Last night was even worse. It started gearing up on Saturday night … pain Sat night, Sunday night … and last night was horrific. I just wanted to die. I didn’t get to sleep till 4.30am.
Today I have made some calls. If it gets bad tonight again, I can go to a private hospital ER - if I get admitted then it is covered by my private health insurance.
The health system works a bit differently in Australia. We can go to a public hospital and it doesn’t cost anything, but the chances of getting a bed are rare unless you have a limb or two dangling off your body. lol! I have full private health insurance, but going in via ER at a private hospital can have large out of pocked costs, unless I get admitted.
The pain isn’t here at the moment. It only comes at night and late afternoon.
