20 days post MVD update

((( lee ))) thank you. Been wondering how you’re doing! Hugs, Mimi

Hi
I just had mvd 13 days ago. Did you experience dizziness? Double vision? I am. I go to the dr today. I hope this goes away. I feel wonderful except for this. I also am tired a lot. I do things the beat I can being dizzy. Then I feel so worn out.
The laying around is getting old, but like you said, I am listening to my body also.

Hi Lisa, no I haven’t experienced any dizziness or double vision.
I hope this resolves soon for you, did you get an answer from your doctor?
Hope you continue to heal well,
(( hugs )) Mimi

PS. I think the group of us should have a name…lol so many of us had MVDs in April…
“April MVD-ers”, I don’t know…

I guess that makes me an April MVD Groupie then! Haven’t had one (yet, hoping…) but I am hooked on this April group and eagerly watch for all you updates and just wish you all the very best outcomes!
Big hugs to all

Mimi, you’ve been in my prayers. Sounds like you have wonderful family support. I admire your strength and optimism! My daughter just wrote a paper on courage, I think this website has many courageous souls…you are obviously one of them! Just remember…baby steps, they add up in no time!!

Bella & Kathy,

I don’t know if you realize how timely your kind words and encouragement are/were…
Thank you.
(( hugs )) Mimi

Thinking of all you Aprilings .! Were behind each and everyone of you praying for you all.

I think Shindigs quote 'At least you went as far as you could and can show people this scar is nothing compared to living with the unseen pain of TN' Is so true.

That scar is a small indication of what this pain is all about. .At least seeing this, others may realise it is a true medical problem, I would want to keep my head shaved for ever!

Dearest Mimi
I think about you off and on all day and I know recovery will have it’s ups and downs but hoping all our best wishes will help smooth out some of the lumps.

And sending you strength for your new job, Shindig.

Peace and happiness

Hi Mimi,

Keep up the positive attitude! The nerves are "angry" and will take some time to heal.

I'm sorry about the weather. It definitely doesn't help. But warmer days are coming! Soon you'll be outside enjoying a warm breeze (instead of hiding from the wind!). Take it easy so you can recover fully. You can't rush the healing process.

HUGS!

Lisa,

I had my MVD in Nov. I did suffer from severe dizziness. (No double vision.) The NS prescribed one of those patches used to prevent seasickness. I can't remember the name of the prescription though. It helped so much! The dizziness improved with time but it lasted for a total of almost 3 weeks.
