# Very worried that rash is serious reaction to gabapentin

I have been taking gabapentin for about 6 months. At 2400mg I noticed a few round purple spots on the back of my leg. Went to the dermatologist who said it I was excema. Used some steroid cream and some almost disappeared and a few looked better but came back. I am now on 3000mg and now have a red rash on both sides of,my torso, one more noticeable than the other. I am very concerned that it is a serious reaction to the gabapentin since I read about it being a side effect. If anyone knows what the serious rash that is listed in the side effects looks like please let me know. I will call my nuero in the morning but who knows when he will return my call. Meanwhile I am very distressed and was hoping to get help from someone on this sight. Gizmo

Thanks for your response KcDancer. I was able to go to the dermatologist and it is not from the gabapentin. Gizmo
