TN & Xanax or Roxicet, or Sertraline

Has anyone tried these drugs for TN pain relief? Please let me know. I was using 5mg of Valium, but will soon be out.

What about Diclofenac, Naproxen?

I’ve been steadily taking slivers of the Valium to sleep at night". And 1 Aleve during the day.

I’m still waiting for replacement treatment for Dr Hugh Spencer’s Capsaicin treatment. A snafu happened, and he’s helping to fix it.

Try sucking on mints.
Good God-I wish I could get by on what you are able to get by on.You must be a very brave soul.
When I run out of meds-my life will run out-at this point.
No slivers for me.
Why not go see a doctor and get another scriupt.Maybe baclofen?

If you have TN, do not suck on mints! That usually makes the pain worse for many of us. Have you been officially diagnosed with TN by a neurologist? Valium is usually not prescribed for TN since it is a muscle relaxant. Naproxen usually doesn’t provide relief either. Diclofenac and the capsaicin do tend to help a little bit. For TN pain usually an anticonvulsant like gabapentin, carbamazepine, etc. along with baclofen which is a nerve relaxant. Others can be added like clonazepam (anti anxiety), hydrocodone, oxycodone (pain relief). There are various and more varied sources of pain relief that are too many to mention here. Are you a member of a Facebook TN group? If not, I would suggest that you join one or two at least. I have a couple of really good ones that I admin in, TN, ATN, ON Sufferers Group and Trigeminal Neuralgia Exposed “Our Story”. You would be in contact with almost 3,000 in these two groups alone and they can give you support and many ideas and solutions that you can present to your doctor or start doing yourself. :slightly_smiling_face:

I have found mints help me.My diagnosis-for what it is worth- is trigeminal neuropathic pain. But they do not really know.
I would not want to cause anyone pain
