Tip of the Cap to Hank "Papa" McFadden

Tip of the Cap to my grandfather, Hank "Papa" McFadden, who passed away peacefully last night.

He loved monster trucks and cooking shows. He always wore Vans tennis shoes and let us watch wrestling when we were kids. It was all the chocolate milk we could drink at his house. He would show up to Christmas with a garbage bag full of presents. I would buy him steaks for Christmas every year because he really wasn't supposed to have them, but I knew my Nani would cook them for him if they were a gift from me.

He loved his family and was everything a grandfather should be. I love you Papa.

Sorry to hear of your loss Scott. Sounds like he was a wonderful man. A man that you will always have very fond memories of.

thanks so much Kaz!

I’m sure papa was very proud to have a grandson so willing to help others. “Thanks papa” for helping meld you, Scott, into such a very thoughtful person. I am so sorry for your loss.

Really appreciate it Sally!

My prayers are with you and your entire family, Scott. He sounds like he was an incredible Papa... What a role model and what a blessing! God bless!

Sorry for your loss. It is always hard to say good bye to those we love. My husband and I have lost 6 family members/ friends/ close co-workers in the last 6 weeks. Real makes us aware of the need to be kind, tell people you love them, and never let anger or bitterness go unresolved --- life is simply too short. May God Bless you and fond memories out weigh the sorrow.

thanks so much Icepick. :)
