Tegretol side effects

Hi Dixie,

I know some time has passed and I wanted to follow up with you and see if you are still on the tegratol, and if you ever got used to it. When you saw the doctor, did he say that the vomiting was related, was it an allergy.

Also I remember you were going up to Mayo, do you feel it was worth the trip, as I am considering it myself.

Hope you have found some releif!

I'm seconding everything Catherine said, especially the Mayo part.

Hope you are feeling better - severe nausea and Thanksgiving don't go together very well!

I could not tolerate Tegretol & took Lyrica which kept me pretty much pain free for a few months before my MVD in Oct. @ Johns Hopkins by Dr.Ben Carson. I am pain free & off meds.

OMG Dixie! That is wonderful, I am so happy for you. I hope that when you have some time, you could share your experience with me. When you went did you MRI show a vessel/artery on the nerve, or was it exploratory? I am maxed out on 300 mg/day of Lyrica with little relief, but my MRI shows nothing.

Congratulations, Hoorah!!!!!!!

The MRI showed a compression of the nerve by a vessel which was found to be an artery at the time of surgery. Before the surgery, I was on 300mg/day of Lyrica, also. It really made my mind fuzzy! Since I have been completely off the Lyrica, the mental clarity I have is really amazing. I go for a follow up visit the middle of December. If you want to talk, give me a call: 305 393 3047. The surgical experience was a very positive one. I had the MVD on Thursday and was discharged on Saturday.
