Thank you Indra :-). Sorry for the delay in response. I have to give God the glory for He gets me thru every pain filled day. I’ve heard of many people who did have successful MVD surgery. I just happened to be in the 10% of failure. As far as cost I don’t remember exactly but my part, after insurance, was well over $1000 and that was over 6 years ago. I made monthly payments for a long, long time. I have an appointment for Feb. 15 for a second opinion for the swelling in the left side of my face.
Boy do i have a question for you? Did your condition start by a dentist procedure and the swelling never really went down!?-Amy
I honestly don't remember how mine started. My husband did remind me of a bad experience with a dentist years ago but I don't think the bruising or swelling lasted very long. My swelling in my face has been within the last 6 months to a year. My face will swell more throughout the day and I don't realize it until I feel it under my chin on the left side. (Swelling is only on the left side.) I have an appointment for a 2nd opinion on Feb 14th. I'll let you know how that goes.

Some people notice swelling on my tn side, but I don’t. Weird. My mvd wasn’t successful either, but it was enough that with medication I manage alright. Only, I don’t have to work, so that is very helpful. Sorry you must work.
At the moment work takes my mind of it! And I try to ignore it the best I can…
