I agree with what all the others have mentioned and can only stress how important that you have a neurosurgeon who has done HUNDREDS (or thousands) of MVDs and that it is his specialty. I did loads of research before choosing the surgeon and institution(Johns Hopkins in Baltimore) where I had my MVD last Oct. You are in my thoughts. ---
